Triple J AWOL

Headed up to Innisfail for the Triple J AWOL concert. It was three hours drive away but it was free and far exceeded my expectations. I thought it'd be pretty token but it was an all out concert on the lawns at the local showgrounds/racecourse.


The Red Riders were a great surprise, playing after the local Uneartrhed winners 'Sleeping on trains'. I bought the Red Riders' EP and it sounds great.


The entire concert was filmed by JTV for showing at a later date.


Mia Dyson was great as always, and she played some of her new stuff too.


Grinspoon were ever proffesional, apart from Phil constantly spitting water into the crowd. We even caught them at McDonalds the next morining as they were getting their breakfasts.


And Myf, Jay and the Doctor doing some MC work.


All in all it was a great night and well worth the drive.
